Media Passes

Eligibility

Accreditation is granted only to professionals assigned by recognized media. Accreditation is limited to THREE places per media organization.

There are THREE types of Press accreditation: PRESS pass, PHOTO pass, FILMING pass. Please apply for the one that is appropriate for you. Passes are limited and we cannot change your pass after it has been issued.

PRESS pass benefits

  • Admission (as public) to the festival
  • Interviews with festival organizers and  sponsors (by arrangement)
  • Access to press conferences
  • Free use of official festival photographs for publication (see conditions)

PHOTO pass benefits

  • All press pass benefits plus:
  • Permission to take professional photos of events

VIDEO pass benefits

  • All PHOTO pass benefits (see above), plus:
  • Permission to shoot professional videos of events
  • Use of ancillary equipment eg microphone, tripod-stand, extra lighting
  • More than one person, “additional crew”

Restrictions

  • Passes can only be used by the accredited individual, i.e. they cannot be transferred to another person
  • In the event of misuse, the festival reserves the right to revoke accreditation at any time.
  • Due to limited budget, we are unable to support travel, accommodation or subsistence expenses for accredited media.

Frequently Asked Questions about Toronto International Swahili Festival (TISWAF)

TISWAF 2024 will be held on 1st-3rd Nov, 2024 at at HARBOUR FRONT, TORONTO, CANADA.

The festival grounds will be open from 0630 HRS to 1800 HRS. 

Yes, disabled people are very welcome and there is a disabled toilet at each toilet block.
